Harris Shepard Public Relations, Inc., the agency based in Culver City, California that has been specializing in promoting beauty and lifestyle brands for many years, will be closing its doors at the end of June.

The agency has represented Murad skin care, Jenny Craig and KEVIN.MURPHY hair care, but its most notable client for over 24 years is OPI Products Inc. The agency’s founder and president, Harris Shepard, will remain as a consultant to the nail care company.

Shepard said he feels as if now is the right time to leave the business, and commented:

“I am filled with gratitude…Everyday has been exciting, creative and fun – there’s never been a dull moment. That being said, I’m thrilled to begin a new chapter, and the best is yet to come.”

Harris Shepard has had its moments in the spotlight, along with its clients. The agency was named by Women’s Wear Daily as one of the leading movers and shakers in the beauty industry in its iconic “It List,” while Shepard himself was once called a “public relations guru” by Glamour magazine.
